Casino Online Slots

Governor Ed Rendell announced that Pennsylvania is soon going to alter the online gambling slots law. He backs up the prosecutor of the country who dealt with the Louis DeNaples case. The Dauphin County Ed Marsico was responsible for the modifications of the slot-machine gambling law which is originally dated back to the year of 2004. Last week he dropped charges against the casino owner DeNaples in the state of Pennsylvania. Apparently, there were not enough evidences.

DeNaples had been accused of making false statements to the Gaming Control Board. They claimed he was involved in illegal business to get a casino license worth $50 million. “I consider a proposal to the Senate. The governor should be given exclusive authority of appointing members of the gaming board”, Ed Rendell says. At the moment, one of the 7 board members is appointed by the leaders of the 4 legislative caucuses. Every board member has the right to pull a veto and to block action by the board. This rigid structure will consequently lead to conflict and difficulty.

Both Marsico and Rendell state the responsibility to carry out investigations concerning the applications for gambling licenses should be given to either the state police or the attorney general. That would prevent unnecessary red tape and officials could react faster to discrepancies. The former chairman of the board, Mary DiGiacomo Colins, is now replaced by Greg Fajt. “We want more transparency in the system”, demands Rendell. “Casino licenses should only be given to those who take the casino business responsibly. It is our duty to protect casino customers from dubious operators.”
